This is one MEGA project I was (and still continue to.. for the stamping and embellishments) working on for weeks together.. Each page is a project in itself and I used the opportunity to learn quite a few techniques.. I have finished some of the pages.. here's the stack:

(The decoration at home was entirely done by me and balloons were blown by my father-in-law.. will add more pics of it later)
For the cover page, I have painted the background with acrylics on canvas, used some homemade texture paste and hand-cut stencil for the squares.. painted on it with pearl metallic acrylics (matching his outfit) and used wooden store-bought alphabet. The '1' is handcut and painted, again to match his outfit that day.. :-)
Will keep uploading pics now and then as I keep completing the album...
I to tried scrapbooking ...but the "it never ends" feeling prevented me from pursuing it.Hats off to you!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I understand.. particularly after spending hours on this.. But lovely feeling when each page gets done..And I keep doing it in bits and pieces.. I guess it might be getting ready only by his next birthday.. he he :-)
Deletelovely pages, never tried scrap booking, Just did one layout but later trimmed portions of it to use as elements on a photo frame for my kids pics :)

Deletenice album.. I have started/yet to start (I seriously don't know the status now) a scrapbook of my daughter's first year... I really dont have any idea how to go about it!! :) nice that you completed ours :)
ReplyDeleteHe he.. i understand :-) Nowadays we take so many pics of our little ones that we are spoilt for choice when it comes to printing them out.. and no, this is only his Birthday album.. I have not started with the other pics.. and given the amount of time it requires, I may not start anytime soon ;-).. may just do a couple of layouts to give to his grandparents!
